		<description><![CDATA[Thank you for spreading the wisdom of gratitude, Alison! Years ago I used the gratitude journal to pull myself out of a slump. I actually used a small pocket notebook. Then any time *anything* positive happened, no matter how small, I ledgered it in my notebook. Soon happier things seem to be turning up in my life and before long I got my joy back. 

Another gratitude exercise is when you are being served, whether in a grocery store, coffee shop, restaurant or whatever, look the server in the eye and say &quot;Thank you&quot; with heart. You&#039;ll be surprised at how happy it makes them *and* you.]]></description>
