Organizing Principles of NEXT: Intuitive Consulting and Coaching

  • I believe that the strongest drive in human beings is the drive for evolution and fulfillment, and that all human beings share this need to experience a life of meaning and purpose.
  • Fulfillment, at the deepest level, is experienced through a pattern of living in which we focus our lives on our spiritual needs: the need to continuously grow, and the need to contribute beyond ourselves and bring value to others in a meaningful way.
  • Feelings of lack of fulfillment, unhappiness, emotional distress, and all dysfunctional behavior arise from misdirected energy, misunderstanding of what truly matters to oneself or misuse of resources—time, talent, and energy.
  • An enormously important and I believe–the most direct path to our sense of life fulfillment–is to establish a vocation.
  • Vocation-derived from the Latin word vocare, to call. Our vocation is our “calling.” There is inspiration involved. It is the work we do in the world to make our living aligned with our individual needs and talent.
  • The route that slows and hinders our path to fulfillment is to focus on “getting a job.”  The word “job” comes from the obscure English word for “lump,” as in a gathering of concerns. A job is something we have to tend to. It is often something we get to cover our “concerns.”
  • Where the development of a vocation inherently aligns our needs, talents and dreams for our soul fulfillment a focus on getting a job often overlooks our deeper needs and gifts.
  • Everybody has a vocation. A calling. A way they are designed to make a difference and experience deep fulfillment. To develop a vocation requires support, insight and guidance.
  • The vocation you establish, affects your entire life.
